Project\u00a0started on 1st\u00a0January\u00a0 2019 in\u00a0Kampala due to\u00a0the resource mobilization available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-h-3-font-size\">Core Objectives<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The project focuses on two primary pillars to enhance community well-being:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Responsiveness &amp; Accountability:<\/strong> Bridging the gap between citizens and local government officials. It encourages officials to listen to community needs and ensures there are mechanisms for citizens to hold leadership accountable for their performance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Service Quality Enhancement:<\/strong> The ultimate goal is to see tangible improvements in essential public sectors, specifically <strong>Education<\/strong> and <strong>Health Care<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hewlett Initiative is a governance-focused project launched on January 1, 2019, in Kampala, Uganda.
