The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting FPOP’s programs with the communities we serve. You will help raise awareness, share accurate information, and ensure individuals and families can access essential health and support services. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys fieldwork, building relationships, and creating meaningful impact at the community level.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement outreach activities, community events, and educational workshops
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local leaders, youth groups, and health workers
- Promote FPOP’s services, programs, and resources across targeted areas
- Conduct field visits to understand community needs and provide feedback to the program team
- Maintain accurate records including reports, attendance sheets, and engagement data
- Coordinate with volunteers and community champions to support ongoing initiatives
- Assist in organizing mobile clinics, awareness drives, and program-related campaigns
- Address community concerns with sensitivity, respect, and professionalism
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, or field engagement
- Strong cultural sensitivity and empathy while working with diverse communities
- Ability to manage documentation, reporting, and basic digital tools (MS Office/Google Workspace)
- Willingness to travel and work in field-based environments
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and coordination skills
